Peekin' On Pickin' - Kalia's Room

Hello, friends! I unintentionally took a verrrrrry long break from blogging. I hope you're still there! I realized that I haven't shared any photos of our new place. We moved in January, and are still in the process of decorating and settling. Kalia's room is the closest to being complete, although I'm never truly finished decorating! A few of her furniture pieces could use a fresh paint job, and I would love to find some more flower pins for the lampshade...but I have some bigger priorities at the moment. We found out that we're expecting a BOY! We are trying to decorate the nursery, and I'm working on coming up with a gender-neutral playroom design. I will try to photograph our progress, and share little tidbits with you. In the meantime, I would love to hear any advice you might have on raising boys. It's all new to me!

  1. Oh my gosh, NO WAY!!!! Congrats, Abby...how exciting that you will have one of each, so fun!!!

I always imagined that if I had a boy, I'd do lots of vintage cowboy and cowprint and really old-fashioned toys.

I love Kalia's room! I don't think you've EVER posted pictures of your house on here (??) I would love to see more!!

  3. Rebekka ~ Thanks!!! It's so funny that you mentioned a cowboy theme -- Randy and I were considering it ourselves! I have some little vintage indian figurines, and he has an old arrowhead collection...so we were thinking cowboys and indians. I actually found some crib bedding that seems to be taking us in a different direction, but I LOVE the cowboy idea. I will try to post some more home photos on here at some point. It feels like it's taking a while to get everything to the blog-worthy point!

Jacqueline ~ Thank you! I would LOVE to decorate your kid rooms someday!!! :) Kid spaces are the best. Hope all is well with you!
